The Valve Clinic at MHVI evaluates and treats patients for valve disorders, such as aortic stenosis or mitral regurgitation.  Interventional cardiologists, cardiovascular imaging specialists, and cardiothoracic surgeons collaborate to provide state-of-the-art evaluations utilizing non-invasive imaging studies and heart catheterizations.  Patients with severe valve disease ultimately receive referrals for conventional open heart valve surgery and transcutaneous therapies such as balloon valvuloplasty, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) or transcutaneous mitral valve repair (e.g. MitraClip).
