Medical Records, Disability and Clinical Support Specialist

Job Status/Hours:  Full time

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for organizing and maintaining medical records and completing disability and FMLA/STD forms including the scanning and indexing of these records into the electronic medical record. This role will also provide clinical clerical support during downtimes as directed by direct manager/nurse managers.

1. Point person for the obtaining, receiving, and tracking of all medical records and disability forms
2. Distribute reports and correspondence to be signed, whether paper or electronically
3. Fax requests for patients and other clinics in regards to records and disability work
4. Answer phone calls from patients and clinic staff regarding medical records and disability documents
5. Load and unload courier bags for all satellite clinics
6. Receive and sort faxes by scanning categories
7. Continuously look for requests from the printer/mail box/Excellian in-box
8. Assist where needed in clinic during down time

1. One year of medical or medical office experience
2. FMLA experience and/or computer experience in a medical office setting a plus
3. Skill in operating computers, including Excellian, copiers, printers, fax machines, telephones, etc.
4. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to perform the essential responsibilities
