Metropolitan Heart & Vascular Institute (MHVI) is a busy, independent private practice and a leader in providing cutting-edge, patient-centered care in the Northern and Northwest suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. We provide care in clinic and hospital settings at 9 different locations with 28 cardiologists and 24 advanced practice providers, 4 cardiothoracic surgeons, and 4 vascular surgeons. The MHVI EP program has an active clinical research program which participates in various trials for catheter ablation, heart rhythm devices, central sleep apnea devices and left atrial appendage occlusion devices.
Most of our surgical and invasive cardiovascular procedures are delivered at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN. Mercy Hospital is among the Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospitals according to Becker’s Healthcare. Mercy has two dedicated EP labs, a swing cardiac cath/EP lab, and a hybrid OR where our electrophysiologists perform catheter ablations, CRM device implants, lead extractions, and LAA occlusion devices with dedicated and well-trained EP lab staff. Furthermore, we collaborate closely with excellent colleagues who have built thriving programs in complex coronary interventions, structural heart, cardiac surgery, and vascular surgery.
We are seeking a fifth Electrophysiologist to join our growing and thriving practice. We are particularly interested in a proceduralist who is experienced in lead extractions and VT ablations, but also proficient in all EP procedures, including AF ablations. Our position offers:
