Metropolitan Heart & Vascular Institute (MHVI) is a busy, independent private practice and a leader in providing cutting-edge, patient-centered care in the Northern and Northwest suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota.  We provide care in clinic and hospital settings at 9 different locations with 32 cardiologists and 30 advanced practice providers, 3 cardiothoracic surgeons, and 4 vascular surgeons.  The MHVI EP program has an active clinical research program which participates in various trials for catheter ablation, heart rhythm devices, central sleep apnea devices and left atrial appendage occlusion devices. 

Most of our surgical and invasive cardiovascular procedures are delivered at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN.  Mercy Hospital which currently has two dedicated EP labs, a third lab coming online Fall 2025, and a hybrid OR where our electrophysiologists perform catheter ablations, CRM device implants, lead extractions, EV ICD, and LAA occlusion devices with dedicated well trained EP lab staff.  Furthermore, we collaborate closely with excellent colleagues who have built thriving programs in complex coronary interventions, structural heart, cardiac surgery, and vascular surgery. 

We are seeking a seventh electrophysiologist to join busy practice and grow our ablation program which has been seeing remarkable double digit growth.  We are particularly interested in a proceduralist who is experienced in lead extractions and VT ablations, but also proficient in all EP procedures, including AF ablations.  Our position offers:
