Heart Rhythm Device Clinic

Heart rhythm devices include permanent pacemakers, implantable defibrillators (ICD), and loop recorders.  These devices are implanted into patients to diagnose or treat abnormal heart rhythms and manage congestive heart failure.

The MHVI Device Clinic performs more than 11,000 evaluations of these devices each year. We help patients adjust to life with these devices and ensure patients are receiving all the benefits they have to offer. In addition, we partner closely with other cardiologists, primary care physicians, and advance practice providers to make sure medication, fitness, and treatment plans work together with pacemakers and defibrillators to optimize our patients’ health.

Our heart rhythm physicians, nurses, and technicians perform device testing and patient follow-up at our office sites in Coon Rapids, Fridley, and Buffalo.  We also monitor patients’ devices remotely through use of the internet, cellular connectivity, and conventional telephone landlines.
