Dr. Tell is a native New Yorker. As a child, he made house calls with his physician father and was inspired at an early age to pursue a medical career. Dr. Tell has also done more "off Pump" bypass procedures than any other surgeon in the region.
Dr. Brian Tell received his medical degree from the Université de Paris and completed his residencies in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery at Robert Woods Johnson Medical School, U.M.D.N.J.and Long Island Jewish Hillside Medical Center, respectively. Among other heart surgical procedures, Dr. Tell’s expertise is in mitral valve repair, in which surgery is used to treat leakage or narrowing of the mitral valve. He is part of the surgical team at Twin Cities Heart and Lung.
