Cardiovascular surgeons at MHVI have built Mercy Hospital into one of the top 50 heart-bypass surgery programs in the United States, according to data published in Consumer Reports.  Driven by a relentlous pursuit for quality improvement, MHVI cardiologists have achieved a 99.4% survival rate for heart attack victims at Mercy Hospital.  Our in-hospital death rate for heart attacks is about one tenth the national average.
